Repair Manager

Summary of Description:

The Repair Manager will be responsible for the productivity and operation of the repair team at a branch location. Repair Managers create an environment of exceptional customer service and inclusion. Repair Managers are customer-facing and are expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and to maintain our high standard of customer care. This is an office-based AND field-based position that is responsible for the repair team's operations. RAIL license is required

  • Responsible for revenue and profitability of the repair department
  • Is a key relationship manager for repair customers.
  • Manages day-to-day operational activities of the repair team.
  • Ensures the repair team receives proper training and development of skill sets.
  • Responsible for hiring, rewarding, recognizing, disciplining, or terminating repair team employees.
  • Resolves escalated customer complaints/issues.
  • Schedules all repair work; optimizes repair workload and routing.
  • Quotes repair work (estimating and pricing diagnostic and break-fix repair jobs)
  • Research and updates product and labor pricing to ensure profitable margins.
  • Managing the ordering and inventory of supplies and parts through several local suppliers
  • Utilizing company systems (software) to track jobs from initiation through completion and invoicing.
  • Owns the overall repair business for their territory.
  • Communicates quickly and clearly internally and with customers through email and/or messaging applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Field work will be required.

Education, Licensure, and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred
  • 1-year managerial experience preferred
  • RAIL license is required.
  • Previous experience in the service industry is required
  • Must possess strong repair knowledge from time spent as a Repair Technician or Repair Coordinator(Jandy, Pentair, Hayward)
  • Familiarity with pool service language and equipment required
  • Previous scheduling, dispatching, and service management experience preferred
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report
  • Valid license, three years of verifiable driving history, and clean driving record

  • Physically, the position requires walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time in an office environment and will require some field work.

Environmental Conditions:

General Office Environment: The noise level in an office environment is generally quiet.

Outdoor Service Environment: The position will be exposed to various work conditions at a variety of client settings. Indoor conditions may include dust, heat, cold, noise, etc. Outdoor conditions may include exposure to the outdoor elements, seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions, and hot conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Requirements:

If performing office duties: Employee is required to sit, stand, hear, and use hands to operate all office equipment. Employee must view computer monitors for long periods of time. Vision requirements are close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employee occasionally will be required to lift, generally no more than 25 pounds.

At client locations: While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, kneel, reach with hands and arms, crouch, crawl, twist, push/pull, lift/carry on a regular basis up to 25 lbs. throughout the day, lift/carry occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., hand, eye, and foot coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus—the ability to swim as this position may work near swimming pools.

Compensation – This Salaried position is paid weekly. Eligible for a quarterly bonus based on specific milestones and metrics. Base salary is $65K annually with bonus potential ranging up to $70-$80K.
